Support: Core Isolation or Memory Integrity Causing Driver Errors

Core Isolation or Memory Integrity Causes Driver Problems on Windows 10 and 11

This error only occurs with some Hauppauge products

With some Hauppauge products, if you have Core Isolation or Memory Integrity enabled, it will interfere with the loading of the driver into Windows. Here is a list of products which will be affected by CI or MI:

  • WinTV-HVR-22xx
  • WinTV-HVR-950Q (but the WinTV-HVR-955Q is fine)
  • HD PVR 1212
  • HD PVR Rocket

One way to tell that Core Isolation or Memory Integrity is interfering with the loading of the driver is to look on your PC in Device Manager. You will see an error code: “Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)”.

To fix this problem, do a search in the Windows 10 or 11 search bar for 'Core Isolation' or 'Memory Integrity'. If it is 'On' turn it 'Off' and reboot. The Hauppauge driver should now load normally.
